In respect to the news of the portal created by the Federal Government for businesses to apply for startup funding, the Official representative has denounced the claim, and have made it clear that the website is malicious, and seeks to exploit citizens of sensitive details.
They adviced that citizens await a more accurate information, and the correct website, which will be published soon on their social media handle and the official Startup website.
The website, “https://nationalstartupinvestmentfund.com/” claiming to be an official platform for candidates seeking government support for their enterprises is fraudulent.

Officials of the Secretariat handling the Startup Act shared this press release with the public.
See below;
“The Nigeria Startup Act wishes to draw the attention of the Nigerian populace to the fraudulent message being spread on the internet by a malicious website, NationalStartupInvestmentFund.com .
The fraudulent website purporting to be startup funding is asking Nigerian citizens to apply for a national startup investment fund claimed to be backed by the Federal Ministry of Industry, trade, and investment.
This information is not listed on the Nigeria Startup Act official website which makes it malicious and should be disregarded by the public. Kindly refer to our official website and social media accounts for legitimate information about the progress of the Nigeria Startup Act.”
The website NationalStartupInvestmentFund.com claims to simplify applications for the Startup Fund based on the new Startup Bill. A deeper examination reveals, however, that the website is a forgery and is not supported by any Federal Government department.
As a result, a Nigerian Government Department has issued a caution to innocent startup founders to avoid the website.

Conclusion: The Website https://nationalstartupinvestmentfund.com/ is fraudulent.
Hence, dont apply or share any information with them.
