This trick is very entertaining and helpful, but few people are aware of it and it works with all iPhones. Without having to open an app, you can tell what song is playing on the radio in a pub, your car, or at a friend’s house. Simply swipe down and tap a single button to complete the task.
The music detection service Shazam was acquired by Apple in 2018 and is simple to set up on an iPhone.
Log into your iPhone’s Settings.
Click on Control Center.
Tap the green ‘+’ button next to Music Recognition as you scroll down under “More.”
As a result, Control Center, which you can access by swiping down from the top-right of your screen or from the bottom if you have an iPhone with a Home button, now includes the music recognition feature.
Once you’ve done that, you can use your iPhone to identify a song by hitting the Shazam button after swiping down from the top-right of the screen to reveal Control Center. After a brief listening period, your phone will display the artist and song title at the top of the screen. Additionally, a history of the songs you’ve selected will be saved so you can review them at a later time. Simply press and hold the Shazam button to accomplish it.
