In April 2019, Google expanded Gmail’s email scheduling features. You can use it to create an email that you can send at a later time and date of your choosing. On Gmail, email scheduling is possible both through the desktop browser and the mobile app.
You can either choose a predetermined day and time or provide a specific time for the recipient to receive your mail. The sender is the only one who will be aware that the email has been planned, making it helpful in a number of circumstances.
A Gmail email may be scheduled easily and quickly by following a few easy steps. Continue reading to learn how to schedule an email on Gmail using both the desktop browser and the mobile app.
How to Schedule an Email Using a Desktop Browser and Gmail
If you are not already logged in, go to gmail.com and log in using your Google account.
To draft your email with the recipient’s email ID, click Compose.
Now, select Schedule send by clicking on the tiny drop-down arrow next to Send instead of Send.
For the following several days, a few pre-set alternatives will be presented to you. Simply select one of those if it works for you, and your email will be scheduled.
Select Pick date & time if you wish to choose a day and time.
When you choose a date for the mail to be scheduled, a calendar should appear. As an alternative, you can manually type the date and time in the text field.
When finished, click Schedule send, and your email will be sent at the specified time and date.
