With WhatsApp, you can now archive chats to make them permanently invisible, even if new messages are added to the conversation.
This feature from the messaging service that is owned by Facebook is a terrific method to end undesirable discussions and prevent them from appearing in your main list of chats. Users can virtually ignore a person or group without blocking them by using the Archive folder.
Prior to very recently, WhatsApp users could archive chats, which kept them hidden until a new message was added to the group and then unarchived them automatically. The launch of WhatsApp’s new Archived Chats settings, which will let users keep their archived chats muted even when they get new messages in those threads, was announced in July.
This implies that unless you actively unarchive any of your chats, they will all remain hidden away indefinitely.
How to Make WhatsApp Chats Inaccessible Forever
With the new Archived options, users can hide less significant discussions from view on the main chat list by archiving them. Unless you are mentioned or responded to, users won’t get notifications for archived chats. You can save both individual and group chats, and you can retrieve them whenever you want in the Archived area. The simple steps listed below can be used to hide chats:
Open WhatsApp and choose the conversation you wish to save. A group or individual chat is possible.
On top, there will be three choices. Archive, Pin, and Mute (downward arrow facing icon). On the Archive button, click.
Your chat stream will display the Archived section at the top. Your secret chats are always accessible in the section.
By selecting the chat and pressing the Unarchive option (upward arrow facing icon) on top, users can quickly unarchive the chat.
Go to the Chats tab and touch on More > Settings to archive every chat. To archive every chat, select Chats > Chat History.
