
The time till the 2022 FIFA World Cup has officially begun. And now, owing to a raft of updates across Google’s products and services, soccer fans can always be in the loop.
There will be 32 teams competing for the title in this year’s World Cup, which will be held in Qatar from November 20 to December 18. The defending winners are the French national team.
Search
Start getting ready for the 29-day event by looking up “World Cup” on Google Search to see who is competing, when games are being played, and who has been eliminated. Get updates on your favorite team by tapping the bell symbol in the top right corner (including the USA).
You can follow the drama without being a couch potato. Follow the action in real time by watching daily summary videos on FIFA+ and official broadcasters’ apps, or by pinning scores to your Android home screen.
Google also includes a rating and comparison system based on user opinion, and the company has announced plans to produce a multiplayer game where users from all around the world may join forces to rack up the most virtual objectives.

Beginning on November 20th, YouTube TV members will have access to live World Cup games broadcast on FOX and FS1 with real-time highlights, stats, scores, and standings. A total of 64 matches will be available in 4K Ultra HD to subscribers who also purchase the 4K Plus upgrade, while those interested in watching the tournament in Spanish may do so on Telemundo (included in the YouTube TV base plan).
Users may also repurpose and promote the work of producers like Deestroying, Rima, Cheeky Boyos, Jesser, Abo Flah, and more by using the hashtag #ShortsFIFAWorldCup when sharing their own versions of their movies.
Google’s TV
Live games, highlights, recaps, etc. from FIFA+, ITV, Peacock, Telemundo, ViX, and others are available to those with a compatible Google TV from Hisense, Philips, Sony, and TCL, as well as the new Chromecast with Google TV.

Wear OS
Existing If you’re using Wear OS, you may ask Google to remind you of forthcoming matches or check your calendar to see if you’ve already scheduled time to watch a match. Hublot has released the Big Bang e FIFA World Cup 2022 connected watch, which is powered by Wear OS and is perfect for those who want to cosplay as a World Cup referee.
According to Google, “the watch will display a countdown to the inaugural match on November 20” before the event officially kicks off. At any time during the month-long competition, you may check your wrist for updates on things like team lineups and player profiles. You’ll never miss a goal again thanks to the animated watch face.
